FD Foundation 1st Fall Festival

Join Fostering Dreams Foundation on October 31, 2020 for their first fall festival! We have created an event full of social distancing fun for DFW Youth ages 6-16!

Event Details

There will be (5) 1 hour Fall Festival Sessions. Each child will be stationed 6 feet apart and have their own activity station as well as trash can. When the session is over, to help eliminate contact, the child and/or the guardian will be asked to discard of the child’s supplies in the designated trash can for the child. Gloves will be provided to the guardian when they check in the day of the event so that they may help their child discard items at the end of the session.

To help keep the amount of individuals at the session small, only 6 children will be allowed a session.

Children ages 6 to 16 years old can be registered for this event.

Only 1 guardian can attend per child. 1 guardian can be the designated guardian for up to 6 children.

The children must be accompanied by a guardian at all times.

COVID-19 Precautions

Masks are required for all attendees. We will be conducting Temperature Checks and asking Screening Questions at the entrance.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your registration please contact us at events@fosteringdreamsdfw.org as soon as you are aware that you need to cancel your registration. Please be sure to let us know as soon as possible so that a child on the waiting list can be able to attend.

Activities Include

Kid-Friendly Fear Factor Activities

Each child will receive supplies for a fear factor game at their own personal activity station. The first game will be the taste test. The kid to complete all tasks first will be crowned fear factor champion!

*Please include what your child is allergic to when registering. Double check the child’s records prior to registering to make sure that they do not have any allergies*

Freeze Game

Participants will stand in the respective area, music will play, they must dance until the music stops and the game host shouts freeze! If a participant is caught moving, they are out. Keep going until one player remains.

Face Shield Painting (face shield is provided by Fostering Dreams Foundation)

Participants will be allowed to choose from 4-6 designs for a face-shield painting. The painter will go around to each vehicle, wearing a mask and gloves. They will show the children their design options and then paint a mask, using paint pens, for easy drawing and clean up. After they completed the painting, they will give the mask to the child.

Pumpkin Decorating Contest (Mini Pumpkin Provided by Fostering Dreams Foundation)

Participants will be provided a pumpkin and different decorating materials to decorate their pumpkin.

Mummy Relays

Each team will be competing. Whoever is with the child must first wrap them in white streamers as quickly as possible making them a “mummy”. The child must then go over to a line that is drawn on the ground in front of their table with chalk. The child will spin around 10 times, place a half-full cup of water on their foreheads and walk the line like a tight rope. Once they get to the end they must turn around and come back. If the water falls or they step off the line, then they must start over. After they successfully walk the line they must go back to their table and build a tower of cups, get it approved, and then take it down, stacking the cups only using their elbows. The first child to finish wins the relay.

Location

To be given after the child has been registered in a separate email for safety precautions. Please make sure to provide a working phone number and email address.
