Our Story
Fostering Dreams Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization founded by Vallery Mitchell of Dallas, Texas. Fostering Dreams Foundation started as Volley for the Children in 2015. Volley for the Children hosted charity volleyball tournaments which raised funds and items for children living in a foster care emergency shelter in Wichita Falls, Texas. Amid hosting events, Vallery noticed how the organization had outgrown their name and created a new name and mission. In 2018, Volley for the Children officially became Fostering Dreams Foundation. To date, Fostering Dreams Foundation has served over 100 foster youth and 30 foster parents. Fostering Dreams Foundation Board is comprised of 9 hand selected individuals devoted to advocating for the children in the foster care system and economically disadvantaged communities. All services provided by Fostering Dreams Foundation are donated from selfless service providers within the community.

OUR MISSION
Fostering Dreams Foundation mission is to provide services to children in the North Texas foster care system and economically disadvantaged communities. Our organization also works diligently to aide and assist foster families in making sure foster youth can experience normalcy while in care. Fostering Dreams Foundation aspires to bridge the gap between grieving foster youth and their foster placements by providing grief support groups to youth and grief training to foster parents. Our primary focus at Fostering Dreams Foundation is to always support children while sponsoring their dreams.
